JOB DESCRIPTION
An Apprentice must have the necessary qualifications, training, experience and technical knowledge to assist in the installation, alteration, repair, replacement, and maintenance of electrical wiring, systems and equipment, and repair wiring using hand-tools under the direction and guidance of a Journeyman. An Apprentice is responsible for measuring, cutting, and installing conduit, receptacles, switches, light fixtures and fuse boxes consistent with Employer and client specifications and National Electrical Codes, and may also connect power cables to equipment, such as electric range or motor, and install grounding leads, in conformance with applicable specifications and codes. An Apprentice must take work direction from a Journeyman or other personnel assigned to supervise or direct Red River Electric jobs or work projects. An Apprentice is also responsible for loading, unloading and transporting equipment, supplies and tools to and from job sites and vehicles, and is required to clean up work areas or project sites at the completion of each job.
